At MyInstants Pro ("we," "us," or "our"), privacy is a foundational principle. We operate a free meme soundboard for creators, students, and gamers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you visit myinstantspro.com or use our Discord bot and related features.

By using the Service, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Do Not Require

MyInstants Pro is designed to work without accounts. You can browse, play, and download sounds without registering or providing an email address. We do not:

• Require sign-up: No usernames, passwords, or profile pages are needed for basic use
• Track individual listening history: We do not maintain a server-side log of which sounds you personally played
• Collect biometrics: We do not record your voice or face through the AI Sound Lab — only text prompts you submit
• Sell personal data: We do not sell your browsing data to data brokers or advertisers

3. Information We Collect Automatically

When you access the site, standard technical data may be collected to keep the soundboard fast and reliable on school networks, Chromebooks, and mobile devices:

• Device & browser data: Browser type, operating system, screen size, language, and general device category
• Usage analytics: Pages visited, referral URLs, approximate region (derived from IP), session duration, and interaction events such as search queries or button clicks — aggregated where possible
• Server logs: IP address, request timestamps, and error logs used for security monitoring and debugging
• CDN metrics: Bandwidth and delivery statistics from our audio hosting network to prevent abuse and optimize downloads

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser storage to improve your experience:

• Essential cookies: Session management and security
• Preference storage: Theme (light / dark), volume, pitch settings, and PWA install prompts
• Favorites: Saved sounds are stored locally in your browser via localStorage — not on our servers unless you use features that explicitly sync data
• Analytics cookies: Used by third-party analytics providers listed below; you may block these via browser settings or opt-out tools

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser. Doing so may reset your favorites and preferences.

5. AI Sound Lab & User Submissions

When you use the AI Sound Lab or submit a sound request, we may process:

• Text prompts you enter for sound generation
• Generated audio files, which may be stored and displayed in our AI Generated category
• Sound request descriptions and optional contact details if you provide them
• Usage counts to enforce daily generation limits

Do not submit personal information (full names, addresses, phone numbers) in prompts or requests unless necessary. We may review submissions for abuse, copyright issues, or policy violations.

6. Discord Bot

If you add our Discord bot to a server, Discord processes server and user identifiers according to Discord's Privacy Policy. We receive only the data needed to play sounds in voice channels — such as guild IDs, channel IDs, and command text — and do not access private Discord messages outside bot interactions.

7. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• Google Analytics — traffic and usage measurement
• Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps to improve usability
• Hosting & CDN providers — content delivery and infrastructure
• AI & database providers — sound generation, storage, and site functionality

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services. We do not control third-party data practices.

8. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Operate, maintain, and secure the soundboard and Discord bot
• Measure performance, fix bugs, and improve features
• Enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and respond to legal requests
• Process DMCA notices and sound requests
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

9. Data Retention

Server logs and analytics data are retained only as long as needed for security, debugging, and reporting — typically no longer than 26 months for analytics. AI-generated sounds and public sound metadata may be retained indefinitely as part of the library unless removed for copyright or policy reasons. Local browser data remains on your device until you clear it.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it. Users under 18 should use the Service with parental or guardian supervision, especially in school or shared environments.

11. International Users

MyInstants Pro is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers subject to applicable law.

12. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA & Similar Laws)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of personal data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Opt out of analytics cookies via browser controls

Because we collect minimal identifiable data, many requests may result in no actionable records. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

15. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Controls

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. There is no universal industry standard for responding to DNT. We currently do not alter our practices solely in response to DNT signals, but you can limit tracking by blocking third-party cookies, using private browsing, or installing browser extensions that suppress analytics. California residents may use opt-out mechanisms provided by analytics vendors where available.

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and monitoring to protect data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
